SOME EMMIGRANTS TO VIRGINIA

... STANARD'S LIST OF GLOUCESTER SETTLERS

Some Emigrants to Virginia

compiled by W. G. Stanard
Wm. Ellis Jones' Sons, Inc. Printers, Richmond, Va., 1911.

"Memoranda in regard to several hundred
emigrants to Virginia during the colonial period
whose parentage is shown or former residence
indicated by authentic records."

In 1911, Stanard compiled a list of documented emigrants to Virginia; from this list has been culled those who were known to have settled in Gloucester County, Virginia. Stanard observes in his preface that his list is certainly not exhaustive, and undoubtedly much information has been added since 1911. I have omitted only his assertions about their arrivals in Gloucester County.
