The Character Codes tool displays the standard Latin-1 character glyphs associated with character codes 0 through 255 (0x00-0xff). Pass the cursor over a character cell and see the decimal and hexadecimal values displayed in the browser status line. Click on a character cell and the character is written to the two display areas below the table. The left area shows the character or HTML entity that you would use to produce the character in an HTML document; the right area shows how the character would appear (or the hex encoding if you selected a non-printable control character).
